Yes. If your act involves capturing someone on camera: get permission before posting, do not post minors without guardian consent, and respect privacy and dignity. We reserve the right to disqualify content that violates these standards.
Yes. The Kindness Challenge is part of the national lead-up to America's 250th anniversary and is proudly aligned with America 250's mission to inspire unity and civic participation across the country.
Submissions may be disqualified if they: promote hate, division, or unsafe behavior; include illegal activity; exploit vulnerable individuals; or misrepresent the act performed. We reserve the right to determine eligibility.
Winners will be notified via email by May 29, 2026.
You can participate as an organization, but submissions are singular and you will only be eligible for one prize. Schools, nonprofits, churches, and businesses may participate.
You may submit multiple acts of kindness. Each unique act submitted through the website counts as a separate entry. Duplicate submissions of the same act will not count as additional entries.
All approved entries submitted between March 16 and May 16 are entered into our Kindness Prize Pool. Winners will be randomly selected throughout the campaign. Prizes will vary and may include products, gift cards, experiences, and other rewards. Specific prize details will be announced as they are confirmed.
Acts are officially counted through website submissions. When you post using the hashtag, follow the account, and submit the entry form, your act is reviewed and entered into the prize pool.
Yes, posting is part of the entry process. To qualify: you must post on one of the official platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or YouTube Shorts), use the hashtag #kindness250, follow the account @goodneighboramerica, and submit through the website goodneighbordayamerica.com. This ensures your act can be verified and counted.
Acts can be small or large. Examples include: helping a neighbor, volunteering your time, paying it forward, supporting a local business, writing an encouraging note, or organizing a community moment. If it positively impacts someone else, it qualifies. You may complete one of our featured challenges or create your own.

The challenge is open to U.S. residents. (We'll add finalized age requirements once confirmed.) Individuals, families, schools, businesses, and community organizations are all welcome to participate. Prizes are per entry and not based on group size. Submissions are counted per entry collected through our website at goodneighbordayamerica.com
The Kindness Challenge is part of the 250 Million Acts of Kindness movement leading up to America's 250th anniversary. In partnership with America 250, we're inviting everyday Americans to complete simple acts of kindness and share them to help spark a nationwide wave of good. Every act counts.
